Durbook’s R8 model rugged tablet combines the latest innovations, the most increased rigidity, and convenient dimensions, allowing it to be used for any task. The tablet is based on a 12th generation Intel® processor that succeeds in any challenging data processing task. The R8 has an 8-inch LCD monitor with the exclusive Durabook’s DynaVue® technology that provides a comfortable viewing and working experience under direct sunlight. Despite the level of hardening and protection, the R8 tablet is exceptionally light and weighs only 860 grams. The model is fanless and, at the same time, has versatile, functional expansion options.

R8 is rated at an IP66 dust and moisture protection level, resistant to falling from a height of up to 1.8 meters and approved by military standards such as MIL-STD 810H and ANSI/UL C1D2 as suitable for operation in shaking conditions, salty moisture, explosive and toxic work environments, etc.

The small dimensions of the R8, along with the fact that it lacks a fan, make this Durabook’s model the ultimate both in terms of its tiny weight (only 860 grams), it is more reliability in extreme terrain conditions, it is quieter and compact of the tablets with an 8-inch screen on the market today.

High-Quality Bright Screen

The R8 includes an 8-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 of 800 nits. Also, it has DynaVue® technology exclusive to the Durabook company, enabling exceptional work quality and viewing brightly even in direct sunlight conditions. The touch screen can absorb up to 10 touch points simultaneously and supports four working modes: finger, stylus, working with gloves, and working mode on a wet screen. Also, the tablet can be used horizontally and vertically depending on the task’s needs.

More Durable Than The Others

The rugged design, the external appearance, and the engineering-ergonomic planning of R8 allow professionals to feel complete confidence in this work tool during the activity, on the one hand, and in addition to being confident in the performance quality of the tablet even in the most challenging working conditions on the other. The R8 model was tested and successfully passed the drop tests from a height of up to 6 feet (180 cm) and was approved according to the military standards: MIL-STD-810H, MIL-STD-461G, ANSI C1D2, and rated IP66 for protection against penetration of dust, dirt, and water.

Thus, depending on the purpose of performing the various tasks, the R8 can be equipped with barcode readers, smart cards and RFID (NFC), a serial port and an additional RJ-45 and USB 3.2 port, GPS and 4G LTE, front and rear camera, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth® V5.2 and more.

An Outstanding Continuous Workforce

The R8's main battery allows activity for up to 8 hours. The model's high-capacity battery enables the tablet to operate for up to 16 hours. The “Hot Swap" allows battery replacement in the field without stopping operating the device. R8 will continue to work without an external battery’s active connection, allowing the replacement of a new battery or saving all data before the tablet shuts down.
